With the global recession, many companies are reluctant to invest in new projects unless they demonstrate clear short-term payback. However, most companies also have promising concepts and technologies under development that present long-range strategic advantage. These ideas may be ‘back-burnered’ at the expense of future growth.
Here is where the US government stimulus packages comes in. This package is unprecedented in size and scope. Its mission is to not only provide jobs but also to address longer term initiatives of the US such as supporting a sustainable energy policy, reducing the carbon footprint, supporting basic R&D, implementing a national wireless network, and developing information technology for a more cost effective healthcare system.
If your organization’s R&D fits into any of these categories – and many surprising industries and applications do -- significant funding may be available. The questions are: How do you know if you qualify? How do you apply? What are the pros, cons and how-to’s of getting involved?
In an interactive 90-minute audio session, Susan Ward will review how businesses can take advantage of the government investment to fund, develop and commercialize technology. It will include:
By participating, you will learn about the ins-and-outs of this critically important and exciting initiative. You will have the chance to ask individual questions and receive feedback on the potential qualification of your project(s).
This session is ideal for CTOs, R&D managers, technology developers and innovation leaders. Teams may listen together for the same low fee - cost is per phone line, attendance unlimited.
